The Lunar Chinese New Year falls on a Monday (26.01.2009) this year, hence we have the Monday and Tuesday off (in Singapore's Public Holiday calendar). I know some other countries have the whole week off! Lucky dudes.. This is the year of Ox, here's 1 of the predictions for the year ahead:
The OX year is a conservative year, one of traditions and values. This is not a year to be outrageous. A slow but steady year.
This OX year will bring stability and growth where patience and diligence pays off.
This is a year of Harvest - when we reap what we have sown. Take care of business this year, do not let things slide.
I wish all the chinese a very Happy and Prosperous year with abundant joy, health, wealth, luck and good fortune! It might seems to be a tough year (recession), but we can still survive! Let us brave thru the storm and cross over the hurdles/obstacles. Stay happy :)
